Stupid headline, I know, but hopefully it got your attention.
What am I giving to? World Vision. My family sponsors a child for $35 / month to help them get out of the abject poverty that they endure. Is this about me? Nope. It’s about helping someone other than me. Honestly, I get sick of me so this works out really well.
The child my family sponsors is Laetticia in Rwanda. We just started this in October as the result of being at a Third Day concert in Raleigh where World Vision was being featured. They did such a great job and I have been following them on Twitter and Facebook and I have just been impressed.

Oh, and if you have any issue whatsoever with World Vision and their mission there are many other options to reach those in need. Sometimes it’s best to leave the ideological barriers at the door and just do something.

We’ve sponsored a child through Compassion International for about 2-years ago. Each month we receive a letter from her and we all take turns writing back. It has been very rewarding.
