E-shops sell products to consumers directly, so if the owner of E-shop can get products from factory directly, then it will cut a big part of cost.

Small E-shop should let their products be as many styles as possible but specialized and try to be unique.

Good Article, Frank. I agree with you on several of the points. Reducing the perceived risk at the time of purchase is key. This can be done by providing an abundance of information - including video, pictures, and text so the customer feels safe that they are buying exactly what they expect. This will help returns too.

Thanks!

I think you make a hugely valid point, Frank, and something that any online-centric business needs to tackle - the trust factor.

Face-to-face sales from the "old market" build the relationship; you know names; you see and feel the quality of the product; and you have a name and place to return to with any problems.

Compare that to an online only business, where often you're dealing with a faceless sales number or order form, and you can see where the separation is.

Not easy to overcome - some are doing it well (Zappos) some aren't. Time might not be on their side, though.

Danny Browns last blog post..<a href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/DannyBrown/~3/OQkpf30JJ0s/" rel="nofollow">We’re Your People Too</a>
