@Etienne Thanks for the follow up. Funny how I read that post from Seth Godin this morning and started to wonder what was going on. Chris Brogan (www.chrisbrogan.com) discusses the pitfalls of response expectation as well which is just another side effect of our internet culture.

I suspect that we all just need to go about our business with our best intentions in mind. There will always be those who try to capitalize on inappropriate things and that will always be the case because the internet is like a magnet for opportunists.

Thanks for dropping by and have a great day!

Frank,
there is no need to take that too personal. Some of us were skeptical because you were not the only one trying to "recuperate" that news on your blog. See for yourself Seth's post today here: http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2009/01/rubbernecking.html
Still, I think you have managed to do a great post out of if.

Thanks again.

Gotta admit that I am a bit bummed out that something that I thought would be helpful to people was met with skepticism and cynicism. Folks, not everyone on the internet is trying to get over on someone else.

Frank, I really liked the link you did between the Hudson River unfortunate event and the SMB management. I was suspicious about your post at the beginnings because It thought you were trying to exploit this event to generate traffi on your site. i gotta to be honest, you did a great insightful post. On thing I would have added though is the agility required by both a SMB (in the current economic context) and a pilot (in such an unexpected event)

I've never seen such a self-serving and crass "article". Clearly written to capitalise upon web searches for the pilot's unusual name.

Shameful and you successfully trivialised the news!
